Micro-mechanical crystal plasticity behaviors of a RPV steel

Qiwei Shi, LMT (ENS Paris Saclay) will defend his PhD thesis about "Validation of a micro-mechanical behaviour model of a RPV steel and study of the influence of its parameters' spatial non-uniformity", on the 23th april.

Undertake an in-situ tensile test on RPV steel sample. Capture the displacement field and the rotation field during the tensile. Successive sectionning of the deformed sample and estimate the initial state of the sample. Measure the deformation and stress state of the sample both before and after the tensile test. Use all the data mentioned above to identify the constitutive law DD_CC of the RPV steel. Final goal is to get better knowledge of the crystal plasticity of the 2-phase material.
